Update again.

ye la ye la nak lawan/keep up with blog akak punya pasal kan, kena la menulih walopun dah menguap ;p
i had another tough&busy week i reckon. but not crappy. ishk, how many whiny entries i should post?? but Alhamdulillah at this moment everything is taken care of and i am very relieved everything finally fell into place and i got some great news to share =) =)

in order of importance;
1. Papa's prostate biopsy result was negative. Alhamdulillah =) =D cant express how relieved me and my family are for the news. and yes akak, i was in denial and scared to call home too..
NB: Medically, negative means patient doesnt have the disease that is being suspected/looked for

2. I passed my General Medicine Viva yesterday!!!!
The run that im currently doing at the mo (General Medicine) is the toughest run of my intern year, coz it covers such a vast aspect of medicine (thus the name 'General Med'!), compared to other runs like.. Obs & Gynae, Critical care, surgery, Psychiatry etc etc... One of my senior failed the viva assessment and need to repeat the run, thus extended her training for another 8 weeks which meant she wasnt able to graduate with the rest of her classmates last December =( =(. cruel.
NB on viva: Student will be given 30mins to take full history from an assigned patient, 20 mins to examining the patient while being observe by a consultant/specialist aka examiner, 15mins to collect his/her thoughts, and finally the most dreadful 20-30mins where trainee needs to present the patient's history,examination findings and management plan to TWO consultants and of course, be drilled by them with questions.

3. My passport application was progressing quite ok. Apparently i could get a fast-track passport if i obtained a cover letter from the Malaysian Consulate here to support my application. The Malaysian Consulate (P. Mawar in particular) was being very supportive & helpful! Done and submitted all that, and now waiting for their action *aka the part i hate the most*

4. this is my final week of tiring GM, pheww!~!. Looking forward for Psychiatry next,need to do it for a month starting next week. i dont favour psych over the rest, but dont mind doing it while training coz the patients (especially schizos and manic) could sometimes be simply hilarious. haha~ i might be able to do weekly or twice weekly post about them starting next week (as pscyh isnt too busy), and you tell me if they arent an amazing bunch of people.. surely sometimes they make me scratch my head and like... 'sir/dude/bro.. what are u thinking/doing??' but the complexity of mind and the variance between individuals make 2 identical person not the same. sometimes.. 1 person could have 2 different behaviours that changed over a couple of hours or days! and oh, i am also looking forward to play pingpong in the Psych Hosp during lunch break as i did last year. im an amateur. had played less than 10games, but lyked it ;p

hehehe~ as usual,the evidence of my procrastinating habit while i was supposed to be busy studying for the viva (over the past 2 weekends).

pink nail polished by Anzac (tengah bendera jepon ye!), new big ring from Diva (bought while accompanying Anzac shopping for her friend's Bachelorettes Party), and a mug of coffee to keep me awake 1am in the morning. *wink2. sukee!*
