1st day as a Trainee Intern ^^

November 24, 2008- I am officially hold the title of a 'Trainee Intern'!! yayyyyy~~ All praise to God Almighty =)
2 years of clinical-based experience and lets not forget to mention 3 years of useless theory-based -_-", 11 months of agitation, 5 months of steady hardwork (that.. somehow flip flopped every now and then ;p), a week or two break during Eid Celebration, another month of nearly-teary struggle before came the final hurdle. then 2 weeks later Alhamdulillah the great news arrived =)
ok2 i know thats quite an exaggeration. like duhh~ im JUST a trainee intern.. not a qualified doctor yet.. but.. after the hardship i endure, i deserve to be in my lala land for a while. or maybe let me stay longer than just a little while. dont shake me too soon with the bitter truth ya (im sure there wil be a lot coming over the year)..? pleasseee?

facts: trainee intern is a title hold by 6th year med student (aka me ;p) who had passed the final exam that was held at the end of our 5th year. we are so-called 'student doctor' that already acquire the knowledge as a doctor, but will be trained for another year (like a.. slave..?) to brush up our clinical skills before we are awarded with the qualification that will enable us to practice as a 'real doctor'.

freakin fact: locals and permanent residents are PAID 2200+ PER MONTH as a trainee intern!i dont. coz im an international student. i gonna work for free. sweeeeeeeeeeeetttttttttt~~ that amount exceeds the basic pay as junior doctor back in my country. gaaaaahhhhhhhhh -_-"

yea.. what a long, unfair and tedious process.. just so that i could tend to those sick ppl out there.
..err..ok.. OH NO, i shall not be mentally drained by medicine (just yet) at this point of time..still a loong way to go >.< berusahalah!

eniway, my 1st day was commenced as the orientation day. convenors from various fields (the Dean, emergency meds, anaesthesia, district health board, ethics <- never failed to show up; to name a few) came to give a short talk and we received their 'congratulations' many2 times. i smiled every time =). we the newbies were welcomed warmly as we brought freshness & newness, and revitalised the system; quote unquote =p. thats not my cheesy thoughts ya. ngeh2.

thats it for today. nothing interesting. i need to sleep now as my work starts at 8am tomorrow morning. hmm maybe i wil iron my attire tomoro instead of tonite. and if u're stil reading this last line, dude... r u serious?? so free ah?
