Yesterday I attended the Trainee Intern Class Dinner at The Sign Of Takahe. This place is fabulous.. it's like a mini version of a castle. I fell in love with it 3 years ago and still loving it. my all time favourite tourist attraction whenever i hav to bring someone around chch. my fav place to be with Is too, hihi~
2009.
back in 2005- during our 1st introductory lecture to med school, one of the prof wrote 2009 (our graduation year) on the board - wow... at that time, 2009 was so far away from reality. now i only vaguely remember that introductory lecture, except that one prof told us to get the hell out of the lecture theatre while there's a chance to do so. lolz..

The Dean's speech.
They address us as medical students when we arrive in Chch in 2007. Now they address us as doctors and their own fellow collegues. hihiii.

Dr Cikhens. hihiiii gelii tympanic membrane i dengar!
geds!
Looking around, I had mixed feelings. The 'doctor' part is real now, i know.. but im not super-excited about it, unfortunately. sigh.. where has the spark gone?? i used to be competitive, pro-active and all-rounded (mmg perasan, tp mmg betul). but it all ended when i reach nz. dunno, maybe bcoz it's my 2nd language tht limits my will power. different taste in lifestyle and goals of life? oh well lots of differences but thats the point of studying overseas. to learn and tolerate the differences (ehem, besides to experience snow and colder weather, kehkeh..).
eniway.. my 6th and final year in nz nearly ended. yea, back to mixed feeling. im glad that my undergraduate life is over, however i will always have exam over exams to pass - to get to the higher level. so technically i will be a student my whole life, hohoohuhuuuu. and im glad that im going back to my homeland, back with old friends, wont be missing more weddings and baby-showers, will be around my families, but at the same time, 6 years had passed and things will not be the same. and the thought of working in msia and it's horrible system. hierarchical and long hours. then, wil i have a life? do i get to do what i had been missing? live close to my family? will i have weekend off to go to weddings? can i wear my pretty dresses or wil it be too hot over there? will Is got distracted by hawt chicks over here? oh my oh my...
Pro-active food for the soul: Stress is only for something that u can change. If you cant, then dont stress about it coz it wont help in anyway.
Thus, there's no point growing another wrinkles for something that i cant change.
so.. i have 5 weeks left in nz. then will be back to 'reality' and like it or not, will have to face it. im praying that this is just a paranoia, i will love & enjoy my working life and will be patiently waiting for Is to join me later (and likewise).
Thank you Chch School of Medicine for the experience uve given me. I will make you proud!
